I genuinely love working for Amaro, in no small part because of the fast-paced nature of the role. But also thanks to the constant personal development opportunities offered to me.

Most of all, however, I enjoy the dynamic of working with such a fantastic group of people!

About Kamyus

After earning an NVQ in rail engineering during a year-long apprenticeship with Vital, 2013 saw Kamyus move to Carillion, spending the bulk of his time on the Crossrail West project. Working predominantly in the Acton Main line to Reading area, assisting line side civils teams with the mobilisation of sites, in 2014 he moved into a slightly different role, carrying out duties as a groundworker and chain man, staying with Carillion until January of 2015.

Making the leap to Vinci Construction soon thereafter, he moved sideways into a series of safety critical roles, gaining his COSS, ES and SSOW planner qualifications before joining Control (a vegetation management company) as a safe system of work planner in June 2016.

Seeking a new challenge and keen to progress, Kam joined Amaro in January 2020 as a Planning Manager, heading up the Company’s planning requirements across the board. By his own admission the best career decision he’s yet to make, he’s since been promoted to the positions of Project Manager and then Senior Project Manager, managing a variety of signalling and power projects in the South East as part of Amaro’s Network Rail Signalling Power Framework.

Since joining Amaro, not only has he passed his PRINCE2 qualification with flying colours, he’s also gained his P6 Primavera qualification and is now responsible for both creating and maintaining all programmes within the company.
