Joe Jupe

First setting foot on the railway back in 2004, Joe began his career as an Assistant Signalling Installer for Carillion, gaining his IRSE licence before making the move to Kelly ITS as an IRSE Team Leader. Joining global engineering and technology firm Thales in 2013, he rose through the ranks to become a Construction Manager in 2019, joining the team here at Amaro four years later.

Having previously supported the delivery of such high profile projects as JNUP, 4LM, and the Northern Line Upgrade, upon arriving at Amaro he immediately took charge of a 6-figure REB (relocatable equipment building) fit-out project for Babcock, gaining recognition from his colleagues and the client for his immense dedication and ability to get the most out of his team.

Key responsibilities include…

• Monitoring, inspecting, and assuring the quality of works undertaken on-site, correcting where necessary and monitoring and managing non-conformances
• Ensuring site works are conducted safely, efficiently and to a high standard, minimising the impact on the environment and operational railway
• Undertaking site-based risk assessments
• Ensuring arrangements for access, possessions, and worksites have been made
