Having only worked at Amaro for a short while, it’s clear that the company is people focused, safety centred and scaling rapidly.

Amaro promotes professional development, upskilling staff members to their full potential. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here.

About Joel

A hugely popular and conscientious member of the team, Joel works alongside our Project Manager, Michael Flynn, supporting the delivery of a variety of schemes, from IRJ recoveries and cable renewals, to track circuit upgrades, points conversions, and signal structure refurbishments.

Whilst at Network Rail, he played a key role in the maintenance of signalling assets, ranging from signals, cables and DC track circuits, right through to automatic and train protection warning systems. Still to this day, he enjoys nothing more than getting to grips with his projects in person, supporting his colleagues out on site.

Key responsibilities include…

  • Managing labour and work allocation via site supervisors
  • Developing, monitoring and reporting on programmes from a cost and delivery perspective
  • Developing and reviewing business plans to support delivery and the wider business objectives
  • Developing and improving relationships with clients
  • Delivering and managing electrical and civils designs from Form A stage through to Final Form B for Construction
  • Working with the team to innovate and share best practice
  • Carrying out site safety surveillance inspections and quality checks
  • Working with the team to ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with CDM obligations with project documentation kept up to date
  • Actively promoting a culture change in safety, behaviours and working practices
