Dean Streeton

Retraining as an electrician after twenty years spent within the global finance sector, prior to joining Amaro Dean held a variety of positions within some of the world’s largest financial institutions.

Starting his career in banking in 1999 as a Clerical Associate for Bank of America, Dean rose to the position of Vice President Operations Manager for Foreign Exchange and Treasure across Europe, the Middle East and Africa within just four years. Following the 2008 banking crisis, he refocused to specialise in regulatory changes, typically within the control, risk, or client money sectors.

After taking a well-deserved break from banking, Dean decided to pursue a completely different career path, starting his training as an electrician during 2016.

Assuming the role of Amaro’s Stores Manager in 2020, Dean was promoted to the position of Head of Sustainability in 2024.

• The development and integration of sustainability and environmental issues within the business
• Championing the green agenda with both internal and external stakeholders to help create a more sustainable future
• Ensuring regulatory compliance whilst anticipating regulatory trends and their implications
• Developing and implementing ESG strategy, policy, and procedure
• Carrying out regular ESG monitoring, reporting, and benchmarking
• The management of Amaro’s various sustainability projects
• Working with our team to educate and foster cultural change in relation to ESG
• Exploring emerging sustainability technologies, solutions, and practices
