Signalling Apprentice, Rachael Lyas, passes her COSS initial assessment

A huge round of applause goes out this morning to our Signalling Apprentice, Rachael Lyas, who, this time last week, successfully passed her COSS initial assessment!

Qualified to ensure safe practice for work occurring on or near the rail infrastructure, the primary role of a COSS (or Controller of Site Safety) is to establish a safe system of work, protecting staff from trains, and trains from staff and rail-side activities.

An important step forward in her career, not to mention a position of serious responsibility, this achievement is all the more impressive when you consider she ALSO holds down the role of one of Amaro’s Planning Assistants!

Congratulations, Rachael. We can’t wait to see what you do next.
