Michael Ewart’s first site visit of 2025

Sunday saw our MD, Michael Ewart, carry out his 1st site visit of 2025, joining forces with our HSE Manager, Lewis Matthews, on track in Dorking!

Donning their oranges, they worked alongside a team of Amaro’s finest, supporting the delivery of Network Rail’s CP6 Minor Signalling Framework, working towards the replacement of 3 sets of M63 points (the last 3 in the area) with up to date RCPL equivalents.

Despite some seriously cold and even snowy conditions! – over the last few days our operatives successfully…

– Landed and bolted down 2 x brand new location cases

– Ran out, prepped, beaded, crimped and terminated multiple cables feeding the new LOCs, the signal box and the relay room

– Completed the power commissioning, powering up and function testing the new LOCs

… putting us in a fantastic position to replace the points themselves in week 17, improving performance, boosting reliability, and reducing the client’s maintenance burden in the process!
