Lewis Matthews celebrates one year at Amaro

This week marks exactly one year since our HSE Manager, Lewis Matthews, joined the team here at Amaro… and what an impact he’s made!

From implementing a comprehensive and seriously ambitious ‘SHEQ Improvement Plan’ to being a supportive and familiar presence out on track, as a former British Army Royal Engineer he continually brings the best of his military training to his role, leading by example, driving high standards, and putting the health, safety and wellbeing of his team above all else.

The result? Fewer accidents and incidents, significantly higher levels of staff engagement, and a vastly improved safety culture, to name but a few…

Congratulations, Lewis. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
