Amaro wins exciting new contract at Selhurst Depot

Just over a year ago, severe CAT 4 wire degradation was discovered within an REB (Relocatable Equipment Room) at London’s Selhurst Depot, providing an unacceptable risk of serious failures during routine maintenance activities…

Since then, we’ve been working alongside Network Rail Capital Delivery, supporting their delivery of a brand new, state of the art REB within the extremely limited space available 🦺

And whilst there’s been a small amount of site work involved to date (powering the REB up, and providing advisory and support services), design is where the bulk of our time has been spent.

Now, however, we’ve officially been awarded a 4+ month contract to carry out the physical installation, testing and commissioning of the REB, not to mention a whole host of associated multi-core signalling cables going to and from the new installation. That’s 4 operatives working roughly 5-6 shifts every week…

– Eliminating the issue of brittle cabling
– Reducing the risk of signalling failures
– Keeping the area’s rail passengers moving

Congratulations to all those involved! 👏
