Social Donning their oranges, they worked alongside a team of Amaro’s finest, supporting the delivery of Network Rail’s CP6 Minor Signalling Framework, working towards the replacement of 3 sets of M63 points (the last 3 in the area) with up to date RCPL equivalents.
Despite some seriously cold and even snowy conditions! – over the last few days our operatives successfully…
– Landed and bolted down 2 x brand new location cases
– Ran out, prepped, beaded, crimped and terminated multiple cables feeding the new LOCs, the signal box and the relay room
– Completed the power commissioning, powering up and function testing the new LOCs
… putting us in a fantastic position to replace the points themselves in week 17, improving performance, boosting reliability, and reducing the client’s maintenance burden in the process!
