Keeping the Rails Running: Signalling Support at Ramsgate

Ensuring signalling power stays fault-free, even when supporting third-party works at Ramsgate.

For years now we’ve provided essential maintenance support to Network Rail, testing and repairing signalling power supplies and bringing them up to current standards.

More often than not that means our teams working behind the scenes and on their own, inspecting cables, transformers, locs before logging and fixing any faults.

Sometimes, though, we’re asked to support a third-party contractor, as was the case at Ramsgate just last week…

With new negative bonding being installed by another firm, our 6-strong team of testers were on hand to make sure these new connections didn’t impact the operational railway, carrying out Service B Tests on 12 nearby EBI200 track circuits.

Thanks to a truly collaborative approach and impeccable planning by all sides, these works were successfully commissioned late Sunday night, with all EBI tracks completely in tolerance.
