Signalling Apprentice, Rachael Lyas, passes her COSS initial assessment

Qualified to ensure safe practice for work occurring on or near the rail infrastructure, the primary role of a COSS (or Controller of Site Safety) is to establish a safe system of work, protecting staff from trains, and trains from staff and rail-side activities.

An important step forward in her career, not to mention a position of serious responsibility, this achievement is all the more impressive when you consider she ALSO holds down the role of one of Amaro’s Planning Assistants!
