Major Progress on South East Lines

Amaro teams are keeping passengers moving with critical signalling work in Kent. Recent highlights include 70m of new troughing at Higham, paving the way for faster, more efficient cable installation.

The last few weeks have seen some SERIOUS progress on the lines through the South East as Amaro’s finest continue to keep passengers moving!

Part of NR’s long running SPS (Signalling Power Supplies) Maintenance Project, we’re now in our 4th year of these critical works, having supported the client since 2022, inspecting signal power supplies throughout Kent, performing testing, repairing cabling, transformers and more, all to bring the whole system within current standards.

From stores and planning to project management and delivery, every part of the business has pulled together to install an impressive 70m of all new troughing at Higham, barely a stone’s throw from our HQ in Maidstone.

Making way for a new cable due to be installed in week 7, thanks to this new route the replacement cable will not only resolve a known fault, it’ll also take a considerably shorter and more direct route, saving the client a pretty penny in the process.

Superb work from the entire team, as always
