Appointment of Apprentice E&P Technician – Charlie Guscott

September 2019 saw the appointment of Charlie Guscott as the first (we hope, of many) Amaro Apprentice. Charlie is working out of our Rochester office on a full time basis, gaining the skills and experience needed to drive his career on the railway forward.

We are keen as a local business, to employ local young people, with qualifications in Engineering and a keen interest in the Railway Industry. We are working in partnership with our local college, in recruiting and securing suitable entrants. In September 2109 we were lucky enough to employ Charlie Guscott as our first Amaro Apprentice.

Charlie has been given hands on training, under the supervision of our Managing Director and is currently managing the stores and transport areas of the business, whilst also obtaining as much track experience and working towards his E&P qualification. Charlie passed his PTS course with flying colours and we look forward to encouraging him on his railway journey within Amaro.
