Amaro Team Delivers on Kent SPS Maintenance Project

12 of our team spent three days in Kent repairing and testing cables, showcasing hands-on skill and teamwork.

It was back on home turf in Kent last week, as 12 of Amaro’s finest continued our support of Network Rail’s SPS Kent Maintenance Project – now in its 4th year.

This time, the focus was on repairing a length of 650v cable previously identified as faulty. Over three days, the team got their hands dirty…

– Installing 200m of brand new cable
– Nipping, tucking, prepping and terminating
– Testing and bringing the cable back into service

… not to mention carrying out earth electrode testing on 2 further cables and 2 transformers in the area.

There was a solid mix of experience on site too, with some of our most seasoned operatives working alongside 2 of our apprentices, plus a member of the client’s own team getting stuck in with us. Exactly the kind of collaborative, hands-on delivery we’ve built our reputation on.

And if that wasn’t enough, Sunday saw our HSE Manager, Lewis Matthews, hit site for an ad hoc safety inspection. Not only did the team pass with flying colours, he also treated them to a well-earned Nando’s as a thank you for their hard work!
