We’ve walked 36.3 million steps since June

Back in June we began our most ambitious challenge yet…

With 8 teams of 4 (plus 1 more from our friends at NR Works Delivery) going head-to-head, EACH aiming to cover 1,600 miles and 3.7 million steps in a virtual race from Glasgow to Rome…

Despite our MD Michael Ewart’s best efforts, however, his team was just pipped to the post by Network Rail, with another Amaro team led by Signalling Team Leader, Alan Matthews, coming home in 3rd.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁? Good question

There’s nothing more important than the health, safety, and wellbeing of our team, with regular exercise…

– Strengthening immune systems
– Cutting the chance of cardiovascular disease
– Boosting energy levels
– Reducing stress and promoting relaxation
– Leading to fewer accidents at work
– Promoting weight loss

… and so much more.

Congratulations to all the 9 teams involved!
