Amaro’s Selhurst Depot Project Wins Network Rail’s ‘Construction Route to Gold’ Award Five Times

Despite only having been on site since May, our project to install a state-of-the-art REB (relocatable equipment building) at Selhurst Depot has won Network Rail’s ‘Construction Route to Gold’ award an astonishing 5 TIMES!

Following the discovery of a substantial amount of severely degraded CAT 4 wiring within the existing SD5 REB, we were tasked with the correlation, design, installation, and commissioning of its replacement, designed to handle all depot and mainline interlocking controls for the area.

The first major commissioning of CP7 for NR Capital Delivery (Southern), in just 2 months we’ve…

– Laid the foundation and installed the prefabricated REB
– Domestically powered up the entire structure
– Run a new power link right across the depot
– Designed and prefabricated a bespoke test desk, test operation panel console, and test indication panel
– Run interlinking cables from the legacy room to the new REB
– Constructed an interface panel within the legacy REB, eliminating the need for a significant shut down

Congratulations to all those involved… here’s to a successful commissioning in Week 20
